At New Century Design, our designs and drawing sets are produced by human designers and technologists. That is not going to change. But like many offices today, we have introduced new tools into our repertoire.
What AI is and is not doing at New Century Design
No design at NCD is originated by AI. Every layout, exterior and drawing set you receive has been started by an NCD employee with an NCD template in our primary residential design software. When AI tools play a significant role in producing a part of your drawing sets, we will tell you.
That said, our designers do use AI-powered tools to help them enhance images, particularly renderings. These are assistants, not designers.
NCD does not use AI-generated images as substitutes for real photographs or renderings of homes. We may occasionally use AI-generated illustrations in non-plan contexts — for example, as artwork to inspire a design or concept. We may also use AI to enhance a rendering to make it more photorealistic than our software is capable of. When we do, it will be clearly labeled in the caption.
When we disclose AI use
We will include a disclosure whenever AI played a significant role in producing images. When AI materially shaped what you see, we will tell you, and we will tell you specifically how.
